Ubisoft, one of the gaming industry’s titans, has announced plans to shut down the servers of its free-to-play first-person shooter XDefiant. This decision comes amidst broader operational changes at the company, including studio closures and downsizing efforts, as Ubisoft seeks to recalibrate its strategy following a challenging financial year.
Launched with aspirations to challenge titles like Call of Duty, XDefiant initially generated considerable buzz.
